260E & 260T/T SPECS & INFO

Range

Much like any vehicle, whether it’s EV or combustion powered, range and distance comes down to how you use the boat. In the marine world, additional factors must be accounted for, such as wind and current conditions.

This boat is designed for a full day’s use for most average boaters. For some perspective, you can have a range of up to 35 miles at a cruising speed of 30MPH, for less than $20.00 USD (figures based on average US home electricity rates at time of writing). This translates easily to a full day’s use for most boaters.  As with any vehicle, range decreases when pushing higher speeds for longer periods, and increases considerably at idle and slower speeds.

Distances of 90+ miles are possible at idle speeds and going 50 MPH will give you less range than cruising speed. Boating range is not as simple as looking at linear distance (as we do in automotive); most boaters go from place to place, moving through slow-down zones, stopping to swim, anchoring at a beach, rafting up with other boats, or even tying up at a waterside restaurant or a friend’s dock for a few hours. The benefit of electric in the average boater's case is the ability to use the included 40 AMP Mobile Charger while stopped at a dock, slip or restaurant, which means while you enjoy lunch or a conversation you can add range to your boat.

Performance boating is about the journey, and your Voltari is designed to give you a full day’s experience on the water with your family and friends.

Top Speed

The Voltari 260E & 260T/T has an approximate tope end speed of 55mph, and we rate it for 55+ mph. For a 26' foot model, this is in-class with other performance vessels with matching or similar horsepower, and roughly 50% faster than other 26' foot center console models with smaller engines.

Acceleration

Unlike any other vessel on the water, electric power gives you the ability to use nearly 100% of your available torque and horsepower at the simple push of the throttle. The Voltari 260E offers 740 HP & 1,007 LB*FT torque, all available at any given moment.

An electric brushless motor means no lag between throttle and propeller response. While top-end speeds are on par with the performance 26' ft class; the available and immediate power is absolutely unmatched.

Passenger Capacity
Voltari 260E Performance

The 260E is designed to comfortably seat 11 thrill seekers. Each boat has two captain's chairs at the helm, a back row for three, a two-person front-mounted center console bench, and two benches flanking each side of the bow, which comfortably seats two persons per bench.

Voltari 260T/T Super Yacht Tender

The 260T/T offers two seating configurations for tender operators.

1) the same 11 -person seating configuration as the 260E; or 2) a 5-person model with open space and cargo capacity at the bow.

CHARGERS & CHARGING

What If My Battery Runs Out At Sea?

Electric boating is the same as boating with gas/diesel. Instead of a traditional fuel gauge, you have a battery charge readout with estimated range and remaining capacity. Boating means being aware of your available onboard resources.

If your battery charge falls below 10%, your Voltari alerts you and puts the boat into power-saving mode to give you maximum range on your remaining charge.

If you burn out your entire charge on the high-voltage battery, as with a fossil-fuel boat, your 12v battery will still be fully charged, running your USB ports to charge your mobile, and running your VHF to support a distress signal or a radio call.

Available Chargers

Every Voltari purchased comes with a 40 AMP mobile charger, which can be plugged directly into an existing pedestal or power source of 50 AMPs or more. Voltari also offers 80 AMP chargers for home or commercial applications, as well as a series of commercial fast chargers from LEVEL II to LEVEL III with pay-per-use merchant capability.

You can use any marine 50 AMP or 100 AMP service in combination with a Voltari supplied charger, or -- because Voltari uses a standard automotive J1772 charging
port -- you can charge your Voltari with any off-the-shelf EV charger available to you. This is great for charging on the road at an EV charging station when hauling your vessel.

Charging Your Voltari

An amazing feature of electric boating is the ability to tap into the 220v/240v infrastructure already in place at most marinas and docks/slips. Simply hook up your Voltari charger and plug the boat in. Grab a quick top up or leave your Voltari plugged in for a full overnight charge.

No more servicing outboards at costs exceeding $1,250.00 on average. This means no oil changes, no engine overhauls, no fuel line checks.  Simply charge your Voltari and go boating.

Like all boat, Voltari models requires basic maintenance to your boat components, outdrive, and hull.

Handling Rough Waters

Our hulls are made of carbon fiber and are the latest generation of legendary world championship deep-V 24° deadrise  performance designs.

Are Voltari Models Really Noise Free?

Boaters can’t believe the silence of our models. The experience of hearing only the sound of wind, water, your stereo, and friendly conversation at 30 MPH is completely unique and addictive.

No more engine roar, no more shouting, just the exhilaration of skimming across the water.
